Des is a dad to three children including his youngest child Olivia who was born in 2020 and was diagnosed with TSC at 8 months old. Olivia has a rare mosaic form of TSC so it was a few months after symptoms presented before she was clinically diagnosed. Des works in Financial Services and is a qualified accountant. Des joined the TSC Ireland charity in 2025 to support the important work the charity does in supporting individuals and families affected by this rare condition.

Darach is a GP living and working in Waterford. He is a father of three children, one of whom was diagnosed with TSC in 2008, when he was only three months old. Darach is one of the founding members of TSC Ireland, whose aim is to raise awareness of the condition and provide education and support to those affected by it.

Judith is a mum to a son who has a diagnosis of TSC, and an amazing teenage daughter and as such joined the management team of TSC Ireland in 2025. She is a neuroscientist who holds an academic position at UCD School of Veterinary Medicine and lives in Dublin.

Mary has worked in several healthcare positions for over 50 years and brought that knowledge and experience to her voluntary work as a patient advocate. Her advocacy efforts stem from both her daughter’s diagnosis of TSC over thirty years ago and the death of her eighteen-year-old son to SADS (Sudden Arrhythmogenic Death Syndrome) twenty years ago. She continues to bring the patient voice to numerous projects and committees at national and international level and has just completed her PhD on TSC in Trinity College Dublin.

Emma lives in Kildare and is a mum to two fantastic children. Her daughter Éabha was diagnosed with TSC soon after her first birthday in 2014. Emma has been involved with TSC Ireland since the beginning and has been in the role of secretary since 2023.

Laura is a mum to three beautiful children living in Limerick, her youngest daughter who has TSC diagnosed in 2018. Laura joined TSC Ireland in 2023 and works with members to support individuals and families living with TSC .

Lissa became involved with TSC Ireland in 2024, offering support to the Committee in areas of governance, oversight, and strategic direction. With a background in senior marketing roles, Lissa runs her own advisory business, providing Fractional CMO services to SMEs. She lives in Co. Wicklow with her husband and two children, and is passionate about using her skills to support causes that make a real difference.
